The Opportunity

We have partnered with a large, complex global insurance organisation with service delivery centres across the globe that is embarking on a multi-year transformation to redesign its operating model, portfolio management, sourcing strategy and delivery capabilities.

As Delivery Management Lead – Delivery Management Workstream, you will provide end-to-end leadership of a critical workstream that is implementing SAFe-based Agile Ways of Working across global teams, improving flow, quality and transparency of technology delivery.

This is a high-impact role working closely with C-suite and senior executive stakeholders to prove, scale and embed new delivery practices across portfolios.


Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Lead the Delivery Management workstream, owning scope, outcomes, roadmap and operating rhythm.
• Design and implement SAFe-based Agile Ways of Working (lean, scrum, DevOps) across portfolios in partnership with business and technology leaders.
• Align delivery cadences, value streams and capacity across onshore/offshore teams and vendors in multiple geographies.
• Establish and run agile governance forums (e.g. PI planning, scrum-of-scrums, release / portfolio syncs) and contribute to global governance forums.
• Interact with C-suite and senior executives, providing clear, concise insights on delivery health, risks and trade-offs.
• Lead the design and rollout of Jira as the master platform for agile delivery, including standards, workflows, dashboards and “Jira Master” training.
• Build and guide a small team of delivery coaches / scrum masters to support squads and tribes in embedding new ways of working.
• Define and track key delivery metrics (flow, throughput, quality, stability, predictability) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Ensure effective management of RAID items and cross-team dependencies, removing impediments and escalating where required.

About You

You are a seasoned delivery leader with a track record of driving scaled agile transformations in complex, global environments.

You bring:

• 15+ years’ experience in technology delivery, with significant leadership of large-scale agile / SAFe / scaled agile transformations.
• Proven experience operating within complex, multicultural organisations, collaborating across onshore/offshore, multi-vendor and global/local teams.
• Deep, hands-on experience with SAFe, lean, scrum and DevOps, including running PI planning, ARTs/tribes and continuous delivery pipelines.
• A track record of implementing Agile Ways of Working across multiple portfolios or business units – from pilots through to scaled adoption.
• Experience in global insurance or financial services with distributed service delivery centres.
• Strong background in agile coaching, able to shift mindsets and behaviours across teams, product owners, business owners and leaders.
• Demonstrated experience running governance and reporting forums for global stakeholders and C-suite executives.
• Advanced experience with Jira (configuration, dashboards and training at scale).
• Exceptional communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills; pragmatic, structured and outcome focused.
