Defect Coordinator

Davidson Technolgy Consulting are seeking to engage an organised and proactive Defect Coordinator to support the management and resolution of defects across projects and operational activities. This role is responsible for coordinating defect identification, logging, tracking, communication, and follow-up to ensure issues are resolved efficiently and within agreed timeframes.

The Defect Coordinator will work closely with internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to maintain visibility over outstanding defects, drive timely action, and support quality outcomes. The role requires strong attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate the end-to-end defect management process
  • Log, track, monitor, and report on defects through to closure
  • Liaise with site teams, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely rectification
  • Maintain accurate records, status updates, and supporting documentation
  • Assist with inspections, handovers, and defect reviews where required
  • Escalate overdue or high-risk defects as appropriate
  • Prepare regular reports on defect status, trends, and outstanding actions
  • Support continuous improvement in defect management processes


Key requirements:

  • Experience using Azure DevOps
  • Previous experience in a coordination, administration, or defects role within enterprise testing or a similar environment
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Clear and professional communication skills
  • Ability to build effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders
  • Competent in Microsoft Office and defect tracking / project systems
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities and can start with immediately or with more than 2 weeks’ notice required
