Data Migration Project Manager
6-Month Contract | Immediate Start Preferred
We’re seeking an experienced
Data Migration Project Manager
to lead a major enterprise data migration initiative involving Microsoft Fabric, Dynamics 365, and Azure Data Services. You’ll be responsible for managing end-to-end delivery across planning, execution, governance, and stakeholder engagement — ensuring a smooth transition of data across multiple business systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of data migration projects, from planning through to post-implementation support
- Develop detailed project plans including scope, timelines, resources, and risk management
- Manage stakeholder communication and reporting across technical and business teams
- Oversee data extraction, transformation, cleansing, validation, and loading (ETL) activities
- Ensure data quality, reconciliation, and compliance with security and privacy standards
- Coordinate cross-functional teams, vendors, and SMEs to deliver within scope and budget
Skills & Experience
- 8+ years’ experience managing data migration, data integration, or system transition projects
- Proven experience delivering complex data migration projects in Microsoft Fabric environments
- Strong knowledge of ETL processes, data quality frameworks, and data governance
- Experience with Azure, Power BI, and Dynamics 365(desirable)
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, vendor management, and communication skills
- Project management certification (e.g. PRINCE2, PMP, Agile) preferred
Contract Details
- Duration: 6 months
- Start: Within 1–2 weeks preferred
- Location: Melbourne (Hybrid)
