Data Migration Analyst
Melbourne | Initial 6-month contract | 2 year program
The Opportunity
This role offers the chance to support a major enterprise platform program by transforming operational data into meaningful insights that inform decision-making and improve performance. You will join a collaborative delivery team working across construction-focused operations and large-scale data sets.
Melbourne based opportunity, must be able to attend the Melbourne CBD office. Initial 6 month contract with strong scope for multiple extensions, 2 year program. Unfortunately sponsorship is not available for this position.
The Role
As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for analysing and interpreting operational data to support business and program objectives.
Your other responsibilities will include:
- Collecting, cleansing, and validating data from multiple operational systems
- Performing exploratory data analysis to identify trends, risks, and insights
- Developing dashboards and reports tailored to operational and leadership stakeholders
- Translating data findings into clear insights and practical recommendations
- Collaborating with business users to understand reporting and analytics requirements
- Ensuring data accuracy, consistency, and alignment with governance standards
About You
In order to be a successful applicant you will have strong hands-on data analysis and reporting experience in complex operational environments.
You will also have:
- Proven experience using BI and reporting tools such as Power BI or Tableau
- Strong SQL and data manipulation skills
- Experience working with large, operational datasets
- Background in construction, infrastructure, energy, mining, or telco environments
- Ability to communicate insights clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and a structured, analytical mindset
