· Data Lead - ERP Program
· 12-month contract with view to extend

Davidson Technology Consulting is seeking expression of interest from experienced Data Leads to provide senior-level expertise across data governance, data quality, and data management.
This role will play a critical part in establishing and operationalising the frameworks, standards, and ownership models required to ensure data is accurate, compliant, and fit-for-purpose across the ERP Program. You will work across business and technology teams to support implementation, reporting, migration, transition, and long-term data stewardship.
About the role
As the Data Lead, you will be responsible for designing and embedding the governance and quality practices needed to support successful ERP delivery. You will provide oversight across data migration and enterprise systems activity, while helping the organisation build sustainable data ownership, stewardship, and capability uplift.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement an enterprise Data Governance Framework
- Establish supporting policies, standards, and procedures across data quality and lifecycle management
- Define and embed governance structures, forums, and decision-making processes
- Establish data ownership and stewardship models across the organisation
- Define clear accountabilities, decision rights, and escalation pathways
- Implement a governance operating model to support ongoing data management
- Define data quality standards, dimensions, and measurable KPIs
- Establish processes for profiling, validation, remediation, monitoring, and issue resolution
- Provide assurance that business-critical data is accurate, complete, and fit-for-purpose
- Provide governance and oversight across ERP data migration activities
- Support data scoping, mapping, transformation, reconciliation, and sign-off
- Ensure migrated data is compliant, auditable, and aligned with business requirements
- Support data archiving and retention strategies to enable decommissioning without data loss
- Develop and maintain reporting packs including status reporting, RAID logs, and data quality assurance evidence
- Identify and manage data-related risks, issues, and dependencies
- Develop training and enablement materials for Data Owners and Data Stewards
- Support organisational uplift in data literacy, stewardship, and quality expectations
About you
- Demonstrated experience leading data governance, data quality, and data management initiatives in large transformation or ERP programs
- Strong capability in designing governance frameworks, policies, standards, and operating models
- Experience establishing data ownership and stewardship models across complex organisations
- Strong knowledge of data quality controls, profiling, validation, remediation, and monitoring
- Experience supporting data migration activities including mapping, transformation, reconciliation, and sign-off
- Strong reporting, risk, and assurance capability, including RAID management
- Excellent stakeholder engagement skills across business and technology teams
- Experience developing training, enablement, and uplift materials for business stakeholders
- Local Government experience, with an understanding of council environments, municipal governance, community service priorities, and regulatory compliance
