About the Role
You will support a major billing system program built on Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing, with a strong emphasis on data governance, data quality, and documentation. Working closely with technical teams and business stakeholders, you will help ensure billing data is accurate, compliant, and fit for purpose.
A core part of the role involves identifying, analysing, and resolving data quality issues across the organisation. You will perform root cause analysis, collaborate with business areas to define remediation plans, and support the rollout of guidance, training, and metrics to drive sustained improvements in data quality and monitoring. This role plays a hands on part in a significant system uplift and contributes directly to improving billing outcomes and organisational data maturity.
- 2+ years’ experience in data governance, data management, or data quality roles
- Strong SQL experience, including hands on use of Oracle Utilities Customer Care and Billing
- Proven experience identifying, analysing, and resolving data quality issues through root cause analysis
- Ability to develop and implement practical data remediation plans, including process and guidance improvements
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills across technical and non technical teams
- Solid understanding of data governance principles, regulatory requirements, and data lifecycle management
