A regional utility based in Geelong is expanding its digital capability as part of a major transformation program. The organisation is focused on improving how data is managed, governed, and accessed so teams can make faster, better decisions.
About the Role
You will help build reliable, well-structured datasets that support analytics and AI initiatives.
You’ll work across four key areas:
- Clarifying problems and aligning scope with stakeholders.
- Discovering and understanding data sources with business users.
- Designing and building pipelines to transform datasets from bronze to silver layers.
- Supporting teams to use governed data, including through Copilot and GenAI tools.
The aim is to reduce manual work, improve data quality, and enable users to access trusted data more easily
About you
- Experienced in building and maintaining modern data pipelines.
- Strong understanding of data governance, quality, and metadata practices.
- Skilled with cloud analytics platforms, ideally Microsoft Azure Fabric.
- Confident working with business stakeholders to refine requirements and rules.
- Comfortable with AI and ML concepts for data cleansing and enhancement (desirable but not mandatory)
