The Opportunity
You will enable an enterprise-wide data consumption model that serves BI analysts, data scientists and wider data users. Expect to lead a complex Azure to AWS migration, build automated and governed data marts, and deliver trusted, secure data products that power analytics, AI and ML across the organisation, with quarterly KPIs and stakeholders across public and private sector contexts.
About the Role
You will own the delivery of scalable, secure cloud data solutions on AWS.
- Develop and implement ingestion, integration and publish solutions on AWS
- Design, build and automate enterprise data marts with quality and security controls
- Migrate ADF and Databricks pipelines and data assets to AWS Glue and Redshift
- Repoint migrated datasets to existing Tableau and Power BI solutions
- Standardise patterns for CDC, schema drift, performance tuning and access controls
- Document solutions to enterprise templates and align with information architecture
About You
You bring deep cloud data engineering and a bias for automation at scale.
- Proven track record moving workloads from Azure to AWS, incl ADF/Databricks to Glue/Redshift
- Hands-on build of automated, enterprise-grade data marts on AWS
- Practical integration of SQL and NoSQL sources, strong SQL and pipeline optimisation
- Governance expertise: test scripting, lineage, and government-grade security controls
- Clear technical documentation to standards, working with architects on info architecture
- Bonus: Snowflake and Matillion, Tableau/Power BI optimisation, marketplace patterns, public and private sector delivery and comfort operating to quarterly KPIs
