Our Client:
A large, forward thinking public sector organisation undertaking a significant multi-year data transformation. The organisation is investing heavily in enterprise data capability to improve analytics, reporting, governance and frontline decision making across its statewide operations.
The role:
You will design, build and operate secure, reliable data pipelines and products within a new Enterprise Data Platform. You will use Microsoft Fabric and Azure to deliver ingestion, transformation and modelling across medallion layers, integrate with governance systems, and enable high-quality, privacy-by-design data products.
Responsibilities:
- Build and manage ingestion and transformation pipelines using Microsoft Fabric and Azure
- Implement medallion architecture and semantic models for analytics and Power BI
- Run Purview scans, apply classifications and maintain end-to-end data lineage
- Apply data quality checks, automated testing and maintain documentation
- Enforce security and privacy-by-design principles across all data products
- Use CI/CD pipelines for versioning, testing and deployment through Azure DevOps
Skills & Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience delivering production-grade data pipelines in enterprise settings
- Strong capability with Microsoft Fabric tools plus SQL and PySpark
- Experience with Azure data services such as ADF, Synapse or Databricks
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Purview and metadata governance
- Knowledge of medallion architecture, dimensional modelling and Power BI
- Strong grasp of security, RBAC, managed identity and data quality practices
