The Role
As a Data Engineer you will be responsible for building and maintaining data ingestion pipelines and supporting the Azure Databricks environment to ensure smooth data operations.
Your other responsibilities will include:
- Designing, developing and maintaining robust data ingestion pipelines from SaaS and third-party sources.
- Supporting the operational performance and reliability of the Azure Databricks data platform in line with business SLAs.
- Acting as the central contact for troubleshooting data ingestion and processing issues.
- Collaborating with analysts and business stakeholders to understand data needs and deliver practical solutions.
- Implementing data quality checks and improving data workflows for scalability and efficiency.
- Staying current with data engineering and cloud technology trends to continually improve practices.
About You
In order to be a successful applicant you will bring solid technical expertise, a collaborative mindset, and a passion for continuous improvement.
You will also have:
- A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience building and supporting data platforms in Azure Databricks.
- Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java, and experience working with cloud SaaS data sources.
- Strong understanding of ETL processes and data warehousing principles.
- Familiarity with data governance and security best practices.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a focus on detail and collaboration.
