About the role
An opportunity exists for a highly experienced Data Analyst to support a specialised analytics project within the utilities space. This role will focus on analysing complex metering and water loss data to generate actionable insights that support operational performance and regulatory compliance.
You will work across large datasets from multiple systems, including metering platforms, SCADA and asset management systems, to identify trends, anomalies and potential leak events. The role will also involve developing dashboards and reports, as well as contributing to the build and enhancement of Non-Revenue Water (NRW) reporting and leak detection models.
About you
- 7–10 years’ experience in data analytics, ideally within the utilities or water sector
- Hands-on experience with smart meter data and water loss / leak reporting
- Strong SQL skills for data extraction and transformation
- Proficiency in Python or R for analysis and modelling
- Experience with Power BI (or similar BI tools) for reporting and dashboards
- Ability to translate complex data into clear insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
