About the Role
The Cyber Security Business Analyst – Cyber Security, will be responsible for owning the overall design of assigned technical projects (custom or product strategy) as well as recommending best practices for solutions based on business needs. This role as a Cyber Security Business Analyst – Cyber Security will require strategic design and mapping of business requirements and solutions to system/technical requirements. An individual filling the Cyber Security Business Analyst role should be comfortable detailing out technical requirements and can articulate possible solutions applicable to experience with Cyber Security Software solutions (e.g. ProofPoint, AWS, Microsoft Solutions, etc.) The Cyber Security Business Analyst – Cyber Security will also be responsible for writing a technical specifications (for custom development, system integration, etc.) based on interactions directly with the business and professional services team. These specifications will need to be precise and clear as the Cyber Security Business Analyst will delegate some work to fellow team members such as developers, consultants, or product support / documentation. Ideally the Cyber Security Business Analyst – Cyber Security is engaged in best practice development initiatives, provides thoughtful leadership, and familiarity with proven cloud solutions that support vertical objectives.
This role is responsible for undertaking the identification, analysis and documentation of current and future state business processes and requirements, within a complex Information Management (IM)/Information Communication Technology (ICT) environment, to ensure the delivery of valued, integrated, and effective Technology Solutions.
Working alongside Project Managers, Business Analysts, and a wide range of stakeholders, you will capture critical requirements and ensure smooth transitions from project phase to business operations. Your work will be integral to creating effective, client-centred solutions and fostering strong relationships across teams and stakeholders.
Key accountabilities
- Strong stakeholder management experience and excellent communication skills
- Process oriented with ability to translate complex technical needs into clear, concise requirements
- Strong practical experience in waterfall and/or agile project delivery methodologies, and ability to bring ideas to the project team and BA Practice, including solid knowledge of the SDLC and BA involvement across the entire project lifecycle
- Working closely with other PM’s and handle multiple tasks accordingly
- Accountable for creating and capturing accurate and complete records of the business activities related to this position, in accordance with approved policy and procedures. This is applicable to both hardcopy and electronic information, including email
- Adhere to all organization’s policies and procedures and any legislative requirements relevant to this position
- Any other reasonable and related duties as required to meet the ongoing needs of organization
- Experience leading and performing business analysis activities, preferably in the Government Sector
- Experience capturing and analysing As-Is and To-Be business process models, as well as documenting business and digital infrastructure requirements
- The ability to work collaboratively in a team, build effective relationships with stakeholders, and mentor other business analysts
- Excellent consultation, facilitation, and communication skills-both written and oral-are a must in a project environment

Requirements of the position
Skills and experience
- Knowledge of different Cyber Security Solutions
- Ability to document technical requirements for all environments required to complete all phases of SDLC
- Demonstrating experience in managing change and documenting detail requirements
- Knowledge of how testing cycles work and what are the technical requirements to have successful testing
- Ability to gather requirements and convert them to technical requirements for implementation
- Experience working in fast paced transformation projects
- Demonstrated experience with Jira, confluence and agile techniques
- Ability to work with various stakeholders and vendors
- Proven ability to co-ordinate technical activities with multi vendors to achieve program outcome.
- Experience in understanding infrastructure requirements and translate them to Visio design
Qualifications
- IIBA CBAP or CCBA
- ITIL
