Contract opportunity to support a major ERP transformation program within local government where you’ll play a key role in implementing and uplifting security controls across ERP, Azure, Microsoft 365, identity, integrations, and enterprise systems. May 2026 start required for initial 12 months with extension
About the role
As a Cyber Security Specialist, you will play a critical part in securing implementation of the TechnologyOne SaaS platform, helping modernise core corporate systems and uplift financial, operational and reporting capability.
· Strong cloud and on-prem security expertise required
· Experience across IAM, MFA, SSO, RBAC, Defender, Sentinel, risk, and compliance
· Proven ability to embed security-by-design into complex programs
· Local Government experience essential
What you’ll be doing
· Deliver hands-on cyber security support across Council systems and programs
· Secure the implementation of a major ERP SaaS platform, including integrations, identity, and data protection
· Configure and uplift security controls across Microsoft 365, Azure, SaaS, endpoints, and identity platforms
· Support IAM, SSO, MFA, RBAC, privileged access, and cloud security controls
· Contribute to cyber governance, risk management, compliance, and assurance activities
· Support security operations across vulnerability management, incident response, SIEM, Defender, and Sentinel
· Partner with ERP, business, and technology stakeholders to translate cyber risk into business impact
What we’re looking for
· Proven experience as a Cyber Security Specialist across cloud and on-prem environments
· Strong knowledge of Microsoft security stack, Azure, Microsoft 365, IAM, and SaaS security
· Experience securing ERP platforms, integrations, APIs, role-based access, and audit controls
· Strong understanding of ACSC Essential Eight, VPDSS, NIST CSF, and ISO 27001
· Ability to operate in a hands-on delivery role while contributing to governance and assurance
· Local Government / Council experience is essential, with a solid understanding of governance, compliance, and community service priorities
