Davidson Technology are working with a large State Government Department to secure Cyber Security Lead (Controls) to define, implement and assure the security control framework for a large Program of work.

About the Role
As a seasoned Cyber Security Lead (Controls), you’ll be responsible for defining, implementing, and assuring the security control framework for the HCMS Program, ensuring sensitive employee, payroll, and workforce information is protected across SAP SuccessFactors, ClassCover, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Fabric, integration platforms, and supporting technologies. You’ll provide specialist security expertise across solution design, configuration, testing, data migration, integration, and operational readiness, embedding security-by-design principles from inception through to production deployment. Working closely with Cyber Security, IAM, Enterprise Architecture, solution partners, and HR and Payroll stakeholders, you will establish robust governance, role-based access controls, segregation of duties, privileged access management, privacy safeguards, data protection controls, and security assurance activities aligned with Queensland Government requirements, departmental policies, IS18, the ISM, privacy legislation, and industry best practice.


About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring extensive experience designing and implementing security controls within large-scale enterprise transformation programs, with strong expertise in security governance, risk management, compliance, and security architecture. The role requires proven capability in developing role-based access models, segregation of duties frameworks, privileged access controls, and identity-related security controls across complex enterprise environments, supported by knowledge of Queensland Government security requirements, IS18, the ISM, Essential Eight, privacy obligations, and data protection practices including classification, masking, encryption, logging, and monitoring. Experience with SAP SuccessFactors security architecture, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Fabric, cloud security controls, Agile delivery, and large-scale system implementations is highly desirable. You will also demonstrate strong analytical, communication, stakeholder engagement, and influencing skills, with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and vendors while translating complex security concepts into practical guidance for both technical and non-technical audiences.

The Benefits
You will be offered a 12-month contract on an excellent daily rate, paid fortnightly. The role is centrally based in Brisbane CBD with the ability to negotiate a hybrid working arrangement.
