Our Client:
A large government organisation undergoing a critical cyber security transformation program focused on strengthening its vulnerability management capability.
The Role:
As a Cyber Security Engineer (Vulnerability Specialist), you will play a key role in enhancing cyber resilience by identifying, managing, and remediating vulnerabilities across complex IT environments. Reporting to the Director of Cyber Security, you’ll work hands-on with cutting-edge tools and collaborate closely with technical teams to drive remediation efforts and compliance.
Responsibilities:
- Configure, manage, and optimise vulnerability detection tools to assess and report on risks
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of vulnerabilities - from discovery to remediation
- Collaborate with internal technical teams to ensure effective vulnerability mitigation
- Generate vulnerability reports aligned with compliance standards
- Integrate vulnerability platforms with ServiceNow and Microsoft Defender
- Contribute to process improvements in vulnerability management workflows
Skills & Experience:
- Minimum 3 years' experience managing vulnerabilities in large enterprise or government environments
- Proven expertise with Rapid7 vulnerability management platform
- Experience integrating Rapid7 with ServiceNow
- Strong technical troubleshooting and analysis skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement
- Ability to manage priorities and work under pressure
