We are currently seeking multiple Customer Contact Officers to join the team on a temporary casual basis to support upcoming peak periods.
About the Role
You will join a high-performing Customer Contact team, providing first point of contact support across phone, email and face-to-face interactions.
This is a casual pool engagement commencing 24 March 2026 through to 28 February 2027 (estimated), aligned to operational peak demand periods.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing high-volume inbound calls and call back requests
- Responding to emails and online service requests
- Processing applications and transactions
- Performing reception and counter duties, including cash handling
- Managing service requests, complaints and general enquiries
- Navigating multiple systems while meeting KPI and service level targets
Operating hours are Monday to Friday between 8:30am – 5:00pm, with extended hours during peak periods (from 7:30am – 6:00pm). A rotating roster applies, including 1 Saturday in every 4. Availability during school holiday periods is essential.
Average hours range from 20–30 per week outside peak, with up to 38 hours per week during busy periods. The role is based across multiple sites within the region.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Previous experience in a contact centre or high-volume customer service environment
- Strong communication skills and a confident phone manner
- Excellent time management and problem-solving ability
- High attention to detail and ability to work within policy guidelines
- Strong computer literacy and the ability to learn new systems quickly
- A flexible and team-oriented approach
- A current C Class Driver’s Licence
You will be comfortable working in a KPI-driven environment and delivering a consistently high level of customer experience.
