Customer Care Consultant

Call Centre & Customer Service

About the Company
Join a leading organisation at the forefront of Australia’s energy transformation. Supporting over a million Victorian customers, this organisation plays a critical role in how communities connect with essential services. With a strong commitment to safety, service excellence and doing what’s right, they are focused on delivering positive customer outcomes while shaping a more sustainable future.

As the energy sector rapidly evolves, this team is evolving with it - creating new opportunities for talented customer service professionals who thrive in a fast-paced, people-focused environment.

About the Role
As a Customer Care Consultant, you’ll be part of a high-performing customer service team responsible for investigating, managing, and resolving customer enquiries from first contact through to resolution.

You’ll work across multiple communication channels — phone, email, SMS, social platforms, and customer portals — ensuring customers receive clear, accurate and timely information. The role is fast-moving and varied, supporting everything from power restoration updates and vegetation management queries to connection/disconnection requests and general service enquiries.

You’ll also collaborate closely with internal teams to improve processes, support high-volume periods, assist with claims cases, and contribute to a responsive and customer-centric service environment.

About You
You’re an experienced customer service professional - confident, curious, and solutions-focused. You love simplifying complex information for customers, asking smart questions, and finding resolutions efficiently. Most importantly, you bring a calm and positive presence to every customer interaction.

You will bring:

  • Strong customer service experience, ideally within the energy, utilities or essential services sector
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey information clearly across multiple channels
  • Strong problem-solving capability and comfort navigating different processes
  • The ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and other digital platforms, or the willingness to learn
  • A team-first mindset with the ability to build strong internal relationships

The Benefits

  • Work with a respected organisation committed to doing what’s right for the community
  • Competitive hourly rate with casual loading
  • Join a supportive, collaborative team with opportunities for cross-training
  • Hybrid-friendly Southbank location
  • Contribute to meaningful work that supports energy customers across Victoria
  • Excellent training and development to help you thrive
