Court Transcription Officer - Contract Opportunity

Davidson are partnering with a Queensland Government agency to appoint an experienced Court Transcription Officer to support the delivery and continuous improvement.

This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, detail-driven environment where your ability to multitask, maintain accuracy and support critical judicial processes will be highly valued.


About the Role

This role plays a key part in ensuring court proceedings are accurately recorded, monitored and transcribed. Working from a desktop workstation, you will be responsible for overseeing live audio recordings while simultaneously supporting transcription and quality assurance activities.

You will be required to manage multiple tasks concurrently, including monitoring live proceedings and producing high-quality, formatted transcripts in line with strict standards.


Key Responsibilities

Court Monitoring & Annotation

  • Remotely monitor live court proceedings to ensure continuous and accurate audio recording
  • Liaise with court staff and associates to confirm recording systems are functioning effectively
  • Annotate and label audio recordings to support efficient transcription processes
  • Maintain awareness across multiple courtrooms simultaneously

Transcription & Quality Assurance

  • Convert speech-to-text outputs into structured transcripts using Microsoft Word templates
  • Format documentation in line with established style and procedural guidelines
  • Conduct detailed quality assurance checks to ensure transcripts accurately reflect proceedings
  • Identify and correct errors in transcription, formatting and content prior to finalisation


About You


To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in written work
  • Proven ability to multitask and manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent listening and comprehension skills
  • High-level typing and data entry capability
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and document formatting
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with stakeholders

A foundational understanding of court or legal processes will be highly regarded but is not essential.
