Are you ready to take the next step in your leadership career? This is an exciting opportunity to join a specialist national services provider that has carved out a strong reputation as a market leader in its field. After significant success in Victoria and New South Wales, the business has secured a long-term contract in Queensland and is now looking for a Contracts Manager to lead its new operations.

About the Company

Our client is a progressive, values-driven organisation that has built its reputation on delivering innovative infrastructure solutions for utilities and government clients. With operations across multiple states and a history of winning long-term contracts, they are known for:

  • Introducing fresh ideas and smarter processes where others rely on outdated methods.
  • Embedding a customer-first culture, where responsiveness and accountability matter.
  • Creating an environment where employees are supported, empowered, and encouraged to bring energy and pride to their work.

With Queensland as their next growth market, they are seeking a leader who can help bring their culture to life on the ground and establish their presence for the long term.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Mobilise, recruit, and lead a team of supervisors, schedulers, logistics, and field staff.
  • Act as the key client contact, building strong relationships and ensuring contract delivery to agreed KPIs.
  • Drive a safe, productive, and values-driven team culture from the ground up.
  • Streamline compliance and operational processes to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Oversee financial performance of the contract, including cost control, reporting, and performance outcomes.
  • Partner with senior leaders to shape the business’s growth in Queensland.

About You

We’re looking for a people-focused leader who is:

  • Energetic, engaging, and highly responsive – someone who builds trust quickly and keeps communication flowing.
  • Honest, transparent, and open to feedback – a leader who works in partnership with their client and team.
  • Experienced in managing contracts, projects, or operations within construction, utilities, or related industries (direct sector experience not required).
  • Ready to step up – an “up and comer” with the right attitude, drive, and initiative to treat this contract as their own.
  • Able to balance autonomy with accountability, showing initiative when senior leaders aren’t on site.

Why Join?

  • Be part of a national success story expanding into Queensland.
  • Play a foundational leadership role in shaping a new state operation.
  • Enjoy the autonomy to lead with the backing of an innovative and supportive head office.
