About the Company
A respected not-for-profit organisation delivering essential community and aged care services across South East Queensland is establishing a newly centralised back-office function to respond to significant reforms in the aged care sector.
Due to the complexity of new legislation and strengthened quality standards, finance and procurement are now operating as a centralised function, and this newly created role will play a key part in formalising and managing a large subcontractor workforce.
About the Role
Reporting to the Aged Care Operations Manager, this position will take ownership of subcontractor and purchasing arrangements across the aged care program.
This is a hands-on coordination role with a significant front-end setup phase, followed by an ongoing compliance and financial maintenance component.
Key responsibilities include:
- Formalising contractual arrangements with approximately 140 subcontractors across services such as domestic assistance, lawn maintenance, nursing and allied health
- Coordinating associated provider agreements and ensuring registration and updates within the Government Procurement Management System
- Managing annual compliance requirements including criminal history checks, public liability insurance and contractual documentation
- Monitoring subcontractor performance and compliance with contractual terms
- Collecting and reviewing evidence of services delivered, ensuring invoices are supported by appropriate documentation
- Providing performance reporting and identifying continuous improvement opportunities within subcontractor management systems
- Supporting financial administration as the role transitions into an ongoing maintenance and governance function
About You
You understand contracts and procurement and are comfortable building systems and processes from the ground up.
You will bring:
- Experience in procurement, contracts coordination or subcontractor management
- Strong working knowledge of compliance frameworks and regulatory environments, ideally within aged care, community services or government-funded programs
- Solid financial acumen and confidence contributing to finance-related tasks beyond the initial setup phase
- High attention to detail with the ability to manage large volumes of documentation and competing priorities
- Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to negotiate and maintain productive subcontractor partnerships
- Current QLD C Class Driver’s Licence and ability to obtain a Criminal History Check
This role will suit someone who thrives in structured environments, enjoys building processes properly the first time and wants to play a key role in strengthening governance and accountability across a growing aged care program.
