Manager – Contract & Vendor Performance

About the Role
We are seeking a senior commercial leader to drive the strategic management of ICT contracts, major vendor relationships and transformation services procurement within a large enterprise transformation environment. This role is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of complex technology contracts, ensuring performance, compliance and value for money outcomes. You will manage strategic system integrator relationships, monitor vendor performance against SLAs and KPIs, lead contract negotiations and variations, and provide executive-level reporting on risk, performance and sustainability.
You will also lead multi-year ICT sourcing initiatives, develop category strategies aligned to enterprise architecture and organisational risk appetite, and embed structured vendor governance frameworks across transformation teams. With up to five direct reports, this role plays a key part in building internal commercial capability, coaching stakeholders and strengthening vendor management maturity across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end management of strategic ICT contracts
- Govern performance of system integrators and major technology suppliers
- Drive strategic sourcing and ICT category management
- Conduct financial evaluations and commercial risk assessments
- Negotiate contracts, variations and dispute resolutions
- Establish governance frameworks and executive reporting
- Uplift internal vendor management capability
- Lead and develop a small high-performing team
About You
You will bring significant experience managing large-scale ICT contracts within complex transformation programs. You have worked closely with system integrators and understand performance-based governance models. You are commercially confident, experienced in strategic sourcing and category management, and comfortable navigating complex stakeholder environments. Experience within public sector or regulated environments will be highly regarded. You have demonstrated leadership experience, strong negotiation skills and the ability to align vendor strategy with enterprise and transformation objectives.
