About the Role   

We are seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) for an experienced commercial or finance professional with at least five years’ experience in power or major infrastructure development to join a collaborative team supporting the commercial and financial workstreams of a large-scale infrastructure initiative. You will provide strategic analysis and input to ensure effective financial and commercial outcomes, with the flexibility to work from office locations in Sydney or Melbourne

About You   

You are a commercial or finance professional with a tertiary or postgraduate qualification in Finance, Business, Commerce, Engineering, or Mathematics and at least five years’ proven experience in commercial or financial roles within power, infrastructure, construction, investment, or banking. You will support the negotiation and development of major contracts, including financing documentation and equipment supply agreements, while providing commercial and financial inputs to cost estimates, offers, and financial models in collaboration with investment and financial advisory teams. You will also coordinate with financial advisors on structuring, funding, and financing closure, prepare and submit required materials during the development phase, and maintain effective reporting with internal stakeholders, including leadership and executive management, to drive successful outcomes for a large-scale infrastructure initiative.

  • You possess strong commercial acumen and relationship-building skills, engaging effectively with individuals of varying seniority and experience within and outside the business.
  • You demonstrate effective written and oral communication skills, with the ability to explain issues clearly and concisely.
  • You represent company objectives persuasively in commercial negotiations, leveraging strong negotiation skills.
  • You are self-motivated, results-oriented, and proactive, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and a commitment to driving workstreams to completion.
  • You are comfortable working both autonomously and collaboratively, adapting to team dynamics as needed.
  • You exhibit solid planning and organisational skills, with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • You are willing to tackle new tasks outside your core strengths, showing adaptability and initiative.
  • You can handle multiple tasks simultaneously, managing competing priorities effectively.
  • You comply, as reasonably practicable, with health and safety instructions provided by the organisation.
  • You are available to travel interstate and to rural locations as needed.
