Kalfresh in collaboration with QIC and Wollemi Capital is developing Australia's first farmer-led 24/7 renewable energy solution. This large-scale bioenergy platform converts agricultural residues into renewable natural gas (RNG), renewable electricity, and biogenic COâ‚‚ - supporting Australia’s energy transition while creating a scalable, multi-site development pipeline.

The business is now entering a critical phase of commercialisation and growth. With the first stage progressing and strong market demand emerging, the focus is on building a platform capable of supplying energy at scale across Queensland and beyond.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, as Commercial Director you will lead all commercial activities required to bring the project to financial close and support the broader platform strategy. This is a rare opportunity to step into a true build-phase role in a project that is market leading in Australia.

You will lead the structuring and negotiation of complex commercial agreements across renewable gas, electricity, COâ‚‚ and environmental products, while engaging with government, institutional capital and major energy buyers. You will play a critical role in securing revenue, unlocking funding and positioning the platform for long-term scale. Operating in a fast-paced, founder-led environment, you will be expected to move quickly, take ownership and drive deals through to completion. This is a role for someone who thrives on momentum, enjoys complexity and wants to be part of building something significant.

To be considered for this role, you will bring deep experience across energy, infrastructure, renewables or adjacent sectors, with a proven ability to lead complex commercial negotiations and deliver structured deals. You are commercially sharp, financially literate and confident operating with senior stakeholders across government, investors and industry.

Equally important is your mindset. You are proactive, adaptable and comfortable working in an evolving environment where priorities shift and pace is high. You are motivated by building, not maintaining, and see the opportunity to help scale a platform with meaningful long-term impact.
