Our client operates in the energy sector with nearly 20 years of industry experience and a loyal customer base. Known for their smart-casual, social and energetic workplace, this is a team that genuinely enjoys what they do — and who they work with.

About the Role

As the Collections Officer, you’ll be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate recovery of outstanding accounts while maintaining strong relationships with customers. This is a role where you’ll need to balance professionalism with empathy, working collaboratively with both clients and internal teams.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Liaising with internal staff to ensure accounts are accurate and up to date
  • Processing hardship claims
  • Preparing reports on collections activity and outstanding debt
  • Assisting customers to access grants and other available funding

About You

To be successful in this role, you’ll need strong communication skills (both written and verbal), a professional but approachable manner, and the confidence to have sometimes tricky conversations with customers. A background in collections, credit control, or accounts receivable will set you up for success.

You’ll also bring:

  • Solid numeracy and attention to detail
  • A proactive, problem-solving mindset
  • Intermediate MS Excel skills (V-Lookups)
  • Reliability, punctuality, and a team-oriented attitude

This is a smart-casual environment — no suit and tie required, just aptitude, initiative, and a commitment to getting the job done.

  • Supportive manager and collaborative team environment
  • Full training provided
  • Daily team lunch supplied
  • Regular social events and celebrations
