- Contract role for Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to join the Davidson Technology Consulting team
- 12-month contract opportunity to start May 2026 as part of major ERP transformation program within local government.
This role will play a critical part in securing implementation of the TechnologyOne SaaS platform, helping modernise core corporate systems and uplift financial, operational and reporting capability.

We are seeking a hands-on Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to support a major local government transformation. You will play a critical role in our team to ensuring secure, reliable and high-performing infrastructure services across hybrid cloud and on-premises environments during a significant period of transition.
Key responsibilities
· Support the design, implementation and operation of hybrid infrastructure environments across on-premises, Azure and SaaS platforms.
· Monitor, maintain and optimise infrastructure and cloud platform performance to ensure availability, reliability and resilience.
· Support the migration of enterprise systems, including TechnologyOne, into cloud and SaaS environments.
· Assist with Azure platform delivery across compute, storage, networking, monitoring and security services.
· Support Microsoft Entra ID, Single Sign-On and Multi-Factor Authentication across on-premises and cloud environments.
· Maintain secure and reliable networking, including DNS, firewalls, segmentation and hybrid connectivity.
· Contribute to integrations, API-based services, Azure Functions, backup, disaster recovery and resilience planning.
· Maintain core infrastructure including Windows Server, Hyper-V virtualisation, storage systems and Microsoft SQL Server environments.
· Support secure configuration, access controls, monitoring and compliance with relevant legislative and regulatory requirements.
· Collaborate with vendors, managed service providers and internal Infrastructure, Cybersecurity and Applications teams.
· Contribute to automation, scripting, infrastructure-as-code practices and broader continuous improvement initiatives.
· Maintain documentation, technical standards, operational procedures and knowledge sharing across teams.
What we are looking for
· Strong experience across cloud and infrastructure operations within hybrid Microsoft environments.
· Practical capability across Azure platform services, enterprise infrastructure and operational support.
· Experience working with Windows Server, Hyper-V, SQL Server and enterprise business systems.
· Sound understanding of security, risk and compliance in infrastructure and cloud environments.
· Ability to work closely with technical stakeholders, vendors and delivery partners in a complex environment.
· Proven local government experience, with an understanding of municipal governance, community service priorities and regulatory compliance requirements.
