Cloud Engineer – 12-month Fixed Term | Geelong (Hybrid)
The Cloud Engineer will play a key role in delivering a large-scale Microsoft Azure transformation program. The role focuses on building, configuring, and maintaining secure and scalable Azure environments to support tenancy separation, cloud migration, and infrastructure uplift initiatives.
This position requires strong technical expertise across Azure infrastructure, automation, and security. The Cloud Engineer will work closely with architects, technical leads, and project teams to ensure that cloud solutions are implemented efficiently, securely, and in line with enterprise standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and configure Azure infrastructure including networking, compute, storage, and identity services.
- Develop Infrastructure-as-Code templates using Terraform to automate provisioning.
- Implement deployment and configuration automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, and Azure DevOps.
- Configure and monitor Azure security services such as Microsoft Defender, Azure Policy, and Sentinel.
- Manage identity and access through Entra ID and Intune.
- Support migration, testing, and validation activities.
- Maintain technical documentation to support governance and operational readiness.
Skills and Experience
- Tertiary qualification in IT or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Demonstrated experience delivering Azure infrastructure in enterprise environments.
- Proficiency with Terraform, PowerShell, Azure CLI, and DevOps pipelines.
- Strong understanding of Azure networking, identity, and security controls.
- Experience working within compliance and governance frameworks.
- Good problem-solving and collaboration skills.
