Due to continued growth across Central Queensland, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Civil Engineering leader to join the business in Rockhampton.

About the Opportunity

This is a senior leadership opportunity suited to an experienced Principal Civil Engineer or Associate Director with a strong background in transport infrastructure and civil engineering projects.

Working as part of a high-performing regional team, you will lead project delivery, strengthen client relationships, mentor engineering professionals and contribute to the strategic growth of the business. Relocation support may be available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of transport infrastructure, road design and civil engineering projects
  • Act as Project Manager and Technical Lead across a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with government, council and private sector clients
  • Support business development activities including proposals, tenders and project pursuits
  • Provide leadership, mentoring and technical guidance to engineers and project teams
  • Manage project performance including budgets, schedules and financial reporting
  • Contribute to strategic planning and business growth initiatives across the region
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and technical specialists across Australia

About You

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • RPEQ registration or ability to obtain registration
  • Extensive experience delivering transport infrastructure and civil engineering projects
  • Strong design and/or project management experience within consulting, local government or state government environments
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Strong commercial acumen and business development capability
  • Outstanding communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • A passion for mentoring teams and developing future engineering talent
