Distinctive Options is a values-driven not-for-profit and registered NDIS provider dedicated to empowering people with disability to live with choice, independence and dignity. With a strong presence across Victoria, we partner with government, corporate and community organisations to create inclusive opportunities and build stronger, more connected communities. Our culture is caring and community-minded, with a genuine sense of purpose that unites staff and leaders alike. At the same time, we are practical and forward-looking, operating in a fast-changing NDIS environment where agility, creativity and resourcefulness are essential. Collaboration and trust sit at the core of how we work, encouraging our people to be adaptable, resilient and solution focused. With a refreshed executive structure and new strategic plan on the horizon, this is a unique opportunity to join a committed leadership team and help shape the next chapter of growth and impact.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Services & Employment Officer (CSEO) will provide both strategic and operational leadership across Distinctive Options’ service delivery and employment programs. The CSEO will be responsible for ensuring services are participant-focused, high-quality, consistent, and sustainable, while maintaining compliance with NDIS and broader regulatory requirements. Leading large, multi-site frontline teams, the CSEO will set clear direction, foster accountability, and empower managers to deliver services that balance participant-first values with commercial sustainability. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the role will also contribute to organisational strategy, risk management, and the design of innovative service models that expand opportunities, choice and impact for people with disability.
To be successful in this role, you will be a senior services leader either from the supported employment services enterprises, disability, health, aged care or community services sector with extensive experience in participant-focused service delivery. You will bring a strong track record of leading large and complex frontline teams, with demonstrated success in driving service quality and safeguarding. With deep knowledge of NDIS compliance, pricing and service design, you combine commercial acumen with participant-first values, ensuring services remain financially sustainable without compromising care. Collaborative and approachable, you inspire confidence and support in your teams, while also having the courage to make evidence-based improvements and lead change with sensitivity. Strategic and innovative in your outlook, you are motivated by the opportunity to enhance service quality and explore new ways to expand impact and choice for people with disability.
This position is based in the Sunbury head office; however, it can accommodate partial remote work from either Distinctive Options’ Brimbank, Bendigo or Bairnsdale office locations.
