Beyond Housing is the largest homelessness and community housing organisation within the Goulburn Valley and Northeast regions of Victoria. Beyond Housing is the main entry point for the homelessness system and provides a range of support for people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) is a pivotal member of the Executive Leadership Team, partnering closely with the CEO to shape and deliver the organisation's strategic ambition. As the driver of operational excellence, robust risk management and financial strength, the COO ensures the organisation runs with agility and purpose. Leading day to day operations, the COO champions performance, innovation and continuous improvement, embedding systems and culture that enable sustainable growth and meaningful impact. Passionate about the mission, the COO brings the vision and values of Beyond Housing to life, develops a high-performing team, and ensures the organisation is equipped to transform outcomes for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
To be considered for this role, you will be an accomplished executive with experience of operating in complex, regulated environments. You bring a strong understanding of legislative compliance, governance and data-informed decision-making, with the ability to interpret complex information and communicate it clearly to a range of stakeholders including Boards, government agencies, partners and funders. You are a steady and dependable leader, known for a calm, composed and evidence-based leadership style that inspires confidence and sound judgement.
