Chief Operating Officer – National Protective Services

CEO & General Management

  • Pivotal COO role with full scope to lift performance & sharpen accountability
  • Lead a 400-person operation across manpower and electronics
  • Your influence, energy and commercial judgement will leave a visible mark

National Protective Services is seeking a commercially minded, high-impact Chief Operating Officer to lead operational performance across a complex, workforce-intensive business spanning two core divisions: manpower and electronics.

Reporting to the CEO, this is a pivotal executive role designed to strengthen accountability, lift service quality, improve compliance execution and create the structure required for scalable growth. The COO will bring clarity, rhythm and discipline to the business while helping free up capacity for innovation and long-term improvement.

This is a role for a leader who can drive change through people. You will lead a broad operations environment including Operations Managers, Compliance, Supervisors and Admin support, with responsibility for improving standards, workforce performance, systems use and commercial execution. A key priority will be lifting the maturity and quality of the electronics division, while continuing to strengthen the manpower side through better training, recruitment and scheduling.

You will need to be visible, credible and highly effective at building trust, setting expectations and driving performance in an environment shaped by EBAs, union considerations and a workforce of approximately 400 staff.

We are looking for an experienced operational leader who brings energy, presence and sound judgement, ideally from a service-led, compliance-sensitive or workforce-heavy environment. You do not need to come from an identical sector background, but you must be capable of leading through complexity, improving standards and building a stronger performance culture across multiple functions. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a business at an important point in its evolution and play a central role in professionalizing operations, improving quality and helping deliver the next phase of growth.
