About Us

Davidson Technology Consulting is a boutique, expert-driven business and technology consultancy on a mission to help organisations drive lasting change. We empower clients to build high-performing functions while leveraging our expertise to lead transformation and innovation.

Our consulting teams partner with leading organisations across insurance, financial services and broader regulated environments to deliver end-to-end transformation. We guide clients from strategy to execution, embedding practical operating models, stronger delivery capability and modern technology-enabled ways of working.

The Opportunity

  • Chief of Staff for Architecture Transformation
  • Initial contract supporting a major AI Ways of Working uplift
  • Hybrid human + AI operating model
  • We are seeking a high-calibre Chief of Staff to help establish and operate a new hybrid human + AI Chief of Staff capability within an enterprise architecture function. This is not a traditional executive assistant role. It is a strategic operating role with real accountability, designed to extend the reach of architecture leadership in a complex transformation environment.
  • Working closely with architecture leadership and the Davidson team, you will improve briefing quality, follow-through, action management, knowledge capture and decision support. Because this role sits within the architecture team and relates to AI ways of working and accelerators, we are looking for candidates with foundational knowledge of enterprise and solution architecture, strong insurance domain context and exposure to modernisation and AI automation initiatives.

What You Will Do

  • Establish and run the operating rhythm of the Chief of Staff function, including leadership briefing, meeting preparation, follow-through and action visibility.
  • Prepare high-quality briefs, updates, decision-support packs and follow-up outputs for architecture leadership and key stakeholders.
  • Maintain visibility of actions, issues, dependencies, risks and commitments across a complex architecture and transformation environment.
  • Curate the information sources, working patterns and operating disciplines that underpin the Chief of Staff capability.
  • Act as a key operational user in the design and early implementation of the AI-enabled Chief of Staff model.
  • Help define where human judgement is essential and where AI-assisted support can add practical value.
  • Support better coordination, knowledge capture and decision support across the AI Ways of Working uplift.

About You

  • Experience in a Chief of Staff, PMO, transformation office or leadership-enablement role, with a track record of driving outcomes in complex, fast-moving environments.
  • Strong executive briefing, reporting and leadership support capability, with the ability to turn fragmented inputs into concise, decision-ready outputs.
  • Foundational knowledge of enterprise and solution architecture, with the ability to operate credibly in an architecture-led environment.
  • Insurance domain knowledge across areas such as PAS, claims, CRM, data and integration.
  • Exposure to insurance modernisation, AI ways of working, accelerators or AI automation initiatives.
  • A high-agency, entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to spot opportunities, take initiative, navigate ambiguity and drive progress with pace and ownership.
  • Excellent judgement, proactive follow-through, attention to detail and the confidence to chase, clarify and keep things moving.
  • Candidates can be based in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne.

Why this Contract

  • Help shape a modern leadership-support capability at the intersection of strategy, operations, architecture and AI-enabled ways of working.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders and architecture leadership on a visible transformation initiative.
  • Bring human judgement and AI-enabled workflow support together in a role with real impact and ongoing relevance.

How to Apply

  • Please apply with current resume in Microsoft Word format only (.doc or .docx) with a short summary on your experience supporting senior leaders in transformation, architecture or PMO environments, and your exposure to enterprise/solution architecture, insurance domain transformation, and AI-assisted workflow or automation.
  • We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds and are committed to creating an inclusive workplace.
