We are partnering with a highly experienced technology founding team to appoint the Chief Marketing Officer for a new agentic AI software venture currently operating in stealth.
This is not a conventional startup. The business is being spun out of a successful, fast-growth technology company by a seasoned team of founders and operators who have built and scaled businesses before. With an initial team and technology already in place, a global go-to-market strategy and plans for external venture funding, the foundations are there to move quickly.
The company is building in one of the most important emerging areas of enterprise AI: enabling organisations to adopt and scale autonomous AI agents safely and responsibly. It is an early and rapidly developing category with significant global potential.
The opportunity is to join at the beginning, inherit an initial marketing team of approximately four and build the marketing engine from the ground up.
We are looking for a commercial, high-agency CMO who has lived through genuine startup or scale-up growth. Someone who knows what it takes to turn an emerging technology business into a significant international company.
This is a hands-on leadership role. You will own the marketing agenda, establish the growth engine and help take the business into multiple international markets from day one. Success will be measured commercially through pipeline, customer acquisition, qualified opportunities, conversion and revenue growth.
You are likely to have:
- Built or scaled marketing inside a high-growth technology, SaaS or software business
- Been part of a company that achieved meaningful commercial scale
- Experience taking products into multiple international markets
- Strong demand-generation and pipeline credentials
- A highly analytical and metrics-driven approach
- Genuine fluency with AI, automation, CRM and modern marketing technology
- The ability to use technology and automation to create leverage rather than simply adding headcount
- The confidence to market sophisticated products to technical and senior enterprise audiences
- The energy and ambition to operate at genuine startup speed
Just as importantly, we are looking for someone who doesn't wait to be told what to do.
You will work alongside experienced, fast-moving founders who want an executive capable of seeing the opportunity, setting the agenda and driving it - someone who likes being one or two steps ahead while remaining prepared to get into the detail and execute personally.
The business will operate internationally from inception, initially across Australia, Asia and the Middle East. The role can be based in Melbourne or Sydney, with Melbourne preferred.
