- Transform technology. Influence enterprise strategy
- Partner with the Executive to redefine how technology enables future state

V/Line plays a vital role in connecting Victorian communities through safe, reliable and sustainable regional passenger transport. As the organisation continues to evolve, technology is central to enabling future growth, improving customer outcomes and supporting operational excellence.
An exceptional opportunity now exists for a strategic and commercially astute Chief Information Officer to shape the future direction of technology across the organisation.
Reporting to the Executive Director, Corporate Services and working as a trusted advisor to the Executive Leadership Team, you will lead the transformation of a well-established technology function into modern, business-aligned capability. This is a leadership role where technology is the enabler not the outcome.
Leading a team of approximately 100 technology professionals and managing an annual budget of approximately $25 million, you will establish a clear technology vision, strengthen enterprise architecture, uplift project delivery capability and modernise the operating model to better support organisational priorities. Success will be measured by your ability to build executive confidence, improve governance and execution, and position technology as a proactive strategic partner across the business.
You are an accomplished technology executive with a proven track record delivering enterprise-wide transformation within complex operational environments. You bring deep experience across technology strategy, IT operations, enterprise architecture, organisational design and large-scale program delivery, coupled with the executive presence and stakeholder capability to influence at Board, Executive and government levels. While experience within transport, infrastructure, utilities or other asset-intensive sectors will be highly regarded, we are equally interested in leaders who have successfully transformed technology functions within large, operationally complex organisations.
This is an opportunity to leave a lasting legacy by reshaping technology capability within one of Victoria's most important public sector organisations.
