West Moreton Health is one of Queensland’s most diverse and rapidly evolving health services, delivering care to over 300,000 people across Ipswich, Boonah, Gatton, Laidley, and Esk. As Chief Finance Officer (CFO), you will play a critical role in ensuring West Moreton Health’s financial strength and sustainability, enabling the organisation to meet the demands of a rapidly growing community. Reporting directly to the Health Service Chief Executive and working closely with the Board and Executive Leadership Team, you will lead an $87M finance division and oversee the organisation’s $1.3B budget.


The CFO will provide high-level advice and assurance on financial strategy, governance, compliance, and risk, while leading initiatives that strengthen financial performance, improve systems, and enable operational excellence. You will drive innovation through digital transformation and new technologies, ensuring that fiscal management supports both clinical outcomes and service delivery.


You will bring extensive experience as a senior finance executive within large and complex organisations, ideally in government, health, or other highly regulated environments. With professional membership as a CPA or CA, you will demonstrate advanced expertise in financial planning, governance, and negotiation, supported by a proven record of delivering improved performance outcomes. Your leadership style will be collaborative, values-based, and focused on building high-performing teams that deliver tangible results.
