- Executive leadership role
- Contribute to development and execution of Windana’s next Strategic Plan
- Effective business partnering to drive financial sustainability and operational excellence
Windana provides services across Victoria for adults and young people experiencing alcohol and other drug harms, family violence, mental health challenges and social disadvantage. Their Model of Care puts clients at the centre of what they do to create positive change in people’s lives and provide connected services for more people in need. Windana works with families, communities and other organisations to deliver trauma-informed, equitable, culturally safe and integrated services based on evidence and practice wisdom. By intervening early and creating purposeful partnerships, Windana helps clients achieve improved outcomes while reducing demand on acute services. Windana also plays a pivotal role in influencing policy and the sector to create a positive and connected future for the communities they support.
As Chief Finance Officer and a core member of the Executive team reporting to CEO, you will shape Windana’s future by ensuring its financial sustainability, strengthening its commercial capability and enabling the delivery of its ambitious 2024–2026 Strategic Plan and beyond. You will lead the finance function with both strategic foresight and operational depth, overseeing financial planning, payroll, property and IT functions while driving efficiency and accountability. This includes driving the development and implementation of the IT roadmap, reviewing and implementing finance systems that are fit-for-purpose, and advising and executing property-related decisions that strategically position the organisation for future growth. Driving efficiency, accountability and transparent reporting across all commercial functions. Your partnership with your executive colleagues, the CEO and Board will inform organisational priorities, investment choices and long-term strategic growth.
You are a highly strategic and people centred finance leader who has successfully led organisations through transformation and growth, ideally with experience in NFP, community or aligned operating environments. You combine governance, compliance and risk management expertise with strong commercial acumen and the ability to balance big-picture priorities with hands-on delivery in a values-driven setting. Demonstrating resilience and emotional intelligence, you will build high-performing teams, develop clear structures, implement digital solutions and provide assurance to your executive colleagues, the CEO and Board through strong financial stewardship and contemporary practice. Experience with mergers and acquisitions, corporate services leadership and company secretary responsibilities will be highly regarded. Above all, you will align strongly with Windana’s values and purpose, using your leadership to position the organisation for sustainable impact and continued success in improving lives across Victoria.
