Consulting & Strategy

About Us

Davidson Technology Consulting is a boutique, expert-driven business and technology consultancy on a mission to help organisations drive lasting change. We empower clients to build high-performing functions while leveraging our expertise to lead transformation and innovation.

Our Financial Services Consulting practice partners with Australia’s leading banks and financial institutions to deliver end-to-end solutions. We guide clients from strategy to execution, scaling delivery and embedding advanced technology to accelerate change and build resilient, future-ready organisations.

The Opportunity

We’ve partnered with a large, complex global insurance organisation undertaking a multi-year program to redesign its operating model, portfolio management, sourcing strategy and delivery capabilities.

We are seeking an experienced Change Director to lead the Culture & Change workstream, driving the mindset, behaviour and leadership shifts needed to embed a new operating model and agile ways of working across global teams.

This is a high-impact role for a senior change and culture leader who is comfortable working with C-suite stakeholders and multinational teams, and who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on delivery.

Key Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the Culture & Change workstream, owning scope, outcomes, roadmap and operating rhythm.
  • Develop and execute an integrated change strategy to support the new operating model, portfolio management and agile ways of working across global teams.
  • Diagnose current culture and behaviours, define the desired future state, and design practical interventions (leadership expectations, rituals, recognition, communications) to close the gap.
  • Design and lead large-scale culture and change programs across multiple countries and service delivery centres, partnering closely with local HR / People & Culture.
  • Build and run stakeholder engagement plans for executives, people leaders and key influencers, ensuring visible sponsorship and clear accountabilities.
  • Oversee change impact and readiness assessments, adoption metrics and feedback loops – using insights to refine plans and remove barriers.
  • Lead program-wide change communications, including narratives, town halls, leader packs and stories that bring the transformation to life.
  • Design and deliver change leadership and change agent programs and oversee training for new ways of working, tooling and workflows.

About You

You are a seasoned transformation leader who can quickly build credibility with senior stakeholders and global teams. You’ll bring:

  • 15+ years’ experience in culture, change management and transformation leadership in large, complex multinational organisations (ideally global insurance or financial services).
  • Proven experience designing and delivering large-scale culture and change programs that support operating model, agile and technology-enabled transformations.
  • A track record rolling out change programs across multiple countries and service delivery centres, balancing global consistency with local relevance.
  • Deep experience with change methodologies and tools, including impact/readiness assessments, stakeholder mapping and adoption KPIs.
  • Demonstrated capability in coaching and training leaders and teams through significant change, including leadership programs and change agent networks.
  • Strong skills in crafting clear, compelling change narratives and communications for C-suite, leaders and frontline teams.
  • Comfort operating in complex governance environments and providing candid, evidence-based advice to senior executives.
  • Experience in complex, multicultural organisations, aligning onshore/offshore and multi-vendor teams around shared program goals.
  • Able to cut through ambiguity and communicate insights and decisions clearly and succinctly. A highly resilient, empathetic and pragmatic style, with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills and a strong “one team” mindset.
