Role Overview:

As the Case Manager, you will be responsible for managing cases of personal injury and illness within their workforce across Australia, with a focus on achieving faster, safer returns to work. You’ll work closely with senior leadership and operational line leaders to influence cultural change and develop best practices for absentee management.

This is a highly influential role, where your expertise will shape the success of the case management function across the organisation. You’ll have the opportunity to influence policy and procedure, establish reporting systems, and drive positive change. Your success will be measured by data-driven outcomes—improving workforce planning, reducing unplanned leave, and ultimately driving revenue improvements for the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Case Management: Manage individual cases of personal injury and illness, ensuring safe, timely returns to work.
  • Drive Cultural Change: Coach and mentor leaders t, fostering a culture of return to work and efficient absentee management.
  • Stakeholder Influence: Work closely with internal leaders and external health practitioners to influence decisions and ensure best practices.
  • Data-Driven Results: Develop and execute robust reporting mechanisms to measure outcomes and demonstrate the success of your initiatives.
  • Measurable Impact: See the direct results of your work in reduced absenteeism, improved operational efficiency, and enhanced revenue.

Key Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in case management and return-to-work within large, complex organisations such as mining, oil & gas, defence, healthcare, construction, or manufacturing.
  • Deep understanding of industrial instruments, enterprise agreements, and workplace legislation, with the ability to adapt quickly to new agreements within the air traffic control workforce.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels, internally and externally.
  • Strong focus on data-driven results, with a track record of using analytics to drive improvement and achieve business objectives.
