As part of a high-performing Cairns-based team, this role is an exceptional opportunity for a year 12 student interested in a career in engineering to contribute to a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects spanning transport, highways, utilities and broader civil engineering disciplines.


About the Role

As a Cadet Engineer / Assistant Technical Officer, you will work alongside multidisciplinary specialists, gaining exposure to the drafting, designing and engineering management of roads infrastructure projects from concept development through to detailed design and construction support.

This is a fabulous opportunity for someone genuinely passionate about kickstarting their career in civil design and engineering. This role will see you assisting in design and drafting, assisting with cost estimating and calculations, undertaking field visits, and studying externally to obtain an Associate Degree in Civil Engineering.

To be considered for this role you should have successfully completed year 12, or currently studying, and meet the minimum requirements to enrol into an Associate Degree in Civil Engineering.
