An opportunity is available for an experienced Business Support Officer
to join a Local Government Compliance team on a contract basis. This role supports a fast-paced regulatory environment where accuracy, customer service and strong administrative capability are essential.
About the Role
Reporting to the Compliance Team Leader, you will provide high-level administrative and operational support across a busy compliance function.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing correspondence and coordinating logistical support for meetings and team activities
- Maintaining records management systems in line with legislative requirements
- Delivering responsive customer service to internal and external stakeholders
- Assisting with database maintenance and performance reporting
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and special projects
- Preparing routine and non-routine correspondence and reports
About You
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
- Well-developed computer skills across Microsoft Office and database systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience providing administrative support within a regulatory or compliance environment (desirable)
- The ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to customer-focused outcomes
