Working within a collaborative project environment, you'll contribute to an evidence-based evaluation of a government program that supports improved policy, operational effectiveness and service delivery outcomes.
About the Role
This Business Process Analyst position sits at the intersection of policy, operations and continuous improvement. You'll be responsible for reviewing, analysing and mapping end-to-end business processes while identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
Working closely with stakeholders and subject matter experts, you'll help deliver process improvements that align with program objectives and support informed decision-making through clear documentation and recommendations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Map, document and analyse current-state business processes.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency and service delivery.
- Facilitate workshops and collaborate with stakeholders to develop future-state processes.
- Prepare process maps, standard operating procedures and supporting documentation.
- Develop recommendations for leadership based on analysis and evidence.
- Contribute to the evaluation of government policy, operational practices and program outcomes.
About You
- Proven experience as a Business Process Analyst or in a similar business improvement role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex operational issues into practical recommendations.
- Experience using process mapping tools such as Visio or Lucidchart.
- Advanced capability with reporting and data analysis tools including Excel and/or Power BI.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience preparing high-quality documentation, process maps and reports.
Government experience will be highly regarded.
