Davidson Technology are working with a large State Government agency to secure an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to support in the requirements gathering and technical design of a new Program Management dashboard.


About the Role

As the Business Intelligence Analyst, you’ll be responsible for leading the requirements gathering and technical design of a new Program and Project Management dashboard, supporting the transition from manual, fragmented reporting to an integrated and scalable solution. You will work closely with stakeholders to capture and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements through workshops and structured analysis, while collaborating with Microsoft specialists, project teams, and the department’s IT department. You’ll support staged development and incremental delivery, provide technical input to prototype solutions, and ensure strong governance, accountability, and high-quality documentation, enabling improved data quality, timely reporting, and early identification of underperforming projects.


About You

To be successful in this role, you’ll will bring proven experience in business intelligence and data analytics, strong stakeholder engagement and requirements elicitation capabilities to complex, multi-stakeholder environments. You will demonstrate deep expertise in Power BI, SharePoint Online, and Microsoft Dynamics/Power Automate, with a strong ability to document clear business, functional, and non-functional requirements that underpin robust technical design. With excellent communication and documentation skills, you’ll provide professional oversight of reporting solutions, laying a strong foundation for scalable, staged development and future enhancements while delivering high-impact insights for major infrastructure programs.


The Benefits

You will be offered a 6-month contract (possible extension) on an excellent hourly rate and the ability to negotiate a flexible working arrangement after an initial induction period.
