Davidson is partnering with a state government client who is seeking an experienced Business Coordinator (Workforce) to join their team.


About the Role

As the Business Coordinator (Workforce), you will report to the Manager (Workforce & Stakeholder Relations) and work closely with the Senior Advisor (Workforce) to deliver high‑quality, timely and cost‑effective human resources services. You will provide operational HR support, contribute to project delivery and assist in the development of customer‑focused workforce strategies.

  • Assist in the effective recruitment and selection of business unit staff, including capability development, panel participation and administration of employment programs and initiatives.
  • Prepare reports for senior management on establishment management and HR activities to support effective workforce planning and development.
  • Contribute as a project team member to the planning, delivery and implementation of various HR projects.
  • Monitor and maintain establishment management information regularly to ensure accuracy and consistency across the business.
  • Provide high‑quality, timely and accurate advice to managers and employees regarding HR policies, standards and guidelines.
  • Support workforce planning initiatives, including assisting with the implementation, monitoring and maintenance of workforce action plans.
  • Prepare and compile submissions, briefs and research papers as required.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support sustainable HR solutions and effective establishment management.
  • Assist with capability uplift across relevant HR activities as required.
  • Develop local strategies, policies, systems and procedures to support business needs and maintain compliance.

Mandatory Qualifications and Conditions

  • Criminal history check (required prior to appointment due to access to sensitive data).
  • Valid Queensland ‘C’ Class driver’s licence (or equivalent).
  • Ability to undertake travel throughout the State as required.

  • Sound judgement when evaluating solutions and mitigating risks.
  • An understanding of HR disciplines and the ability to apply HR policies, procedures and instructional documents under guidance.



Benefits

  • $60.05 per hour + Super
