Senior Business Analyst – Workday (Advanced Compensation)

9-Month Contract | Immediate Start | Leading Australian Brand | Hybrid Working

Davidson is proud to be partnering with a high-profile Australian organisation undertaking a significant Workday transformation. As part of this broader program, we are now seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to lead the implementation of the Advanced Compensation module and other key Workday components.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a critical role in redesigning and digitising compensation processes that directly support the company’s annual remuneration and reward cycles. You’ll be working with cutting-edge HR technology, in a role that combines strategic process design, cross-functional collaboration, and hands-on delivery.


About the Role

Reporting to the HCM Technology Senior Manager and embedded in the People Technology & Insights function, your role will involve:

  • Leading the analysis and documentation of business requirements, use cases, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Designing and validating future-state business processes in close consultation with HR and technology stakeholders
  • Supporting solution evaluation and alignment with business objectives and Workday configuration standards
  • Facilitating workshops, sprint reviews and retrospectives with internal teams and third-party vendors
  • Assisting in change management, training coordination, and knowledge transfer activities
  • Developing and reviewing test cases, participating in sprint testing, and supporting quality assurance
  • Helping refine the delivery backlog, support agile sprint planning, and track progress across delivery cycles

You will have the following commercial experience:

  • Significant experience Business Analyst in HRIS and People Technology transformation projects
  • Proven experience implementing or enhancing Workday modules, particularly Advanced Compensation
  • Strong understanding of the P&C technology landscape, with a passion for process improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to translate complex business needs into actionable technical requirements
  • Experience preparing test plans, facilitating workshops, and documenting user journeys
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence and align teams across geographies
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset with strong facilitation and critical thinking skills
