Business Analyst - OT

Information & Communication Technology

Our client are currently seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in IT/OT application delivery to join a leading organisation in the utilities sector. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to critical OT transformation initiatives over an initial 6-month contract with potential for extension.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to capture business requirements and translate them into functional specifications for OT applications.
  • Drive the delivery of IT/OT solutions, focusing on platforms such as DERMS (Distributed Energy Resource Management Systems) and ADMS (Advanced Distribution Management Systems).
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that solutions align with operational goals and regulatory standards.
  • Support the implementation of Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) and related metering systems.
  • Facilitate workshops, perform gap analysis, and ensure alignment between business needs and technical solutions.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst within Operational Technology environments in the utilities sector.
  • Strong understanding and delivery experience of IT/OT applications, preferably in energy distribution or grid operations.
  • Experience with DERMS and/or ADMS platforms is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of Metering systems and AMI (Advanced Metering Infrastructure) is a significant plus.
  • Candidates with experience focused solely on SCADA or asset management/construction will not be suitable – this role requires IT/OT application delivery expertise.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and documentation skills.
