Our client delivers a broad range of accredited programs to thousands of students each year and is focused on enhancing the quality, consistency and efficiency of its education services through smarter, technology-enabled processes

This is an initial 3 month contract with scope to extend


About the Role
As the Senior Business Analyst, you will lead a short-term consulting engagement to shape the business requirements for a new digital solution that supports the design, governance and delivery of courses and related information.

Working closely with senior stakeholders, you will:

  • Review existing documentation and requirements from a comparable implementation in the sector.
  • Perform detailed current-state and future-state process analysis across multiple business units.
  • Undertake structured gap analysis to identify areas of alignment, partial fit and functional gaps between business needs and available solutions.
  • Define, refine and prioritise functional and non-functional requirements using SMART techniques, clearly separating “needs” from “wants”.
  • Document findings and options in a clear, decision-ready format for executive stakeholders.
  • Work with stakeholders to identify business change impacts and support understanding of the proposed changes.

About You
You are a seasoned Senior Business Analyst who is comfortable operating at enterprise level and engaging with executives, academic leaders and operational teams. You will bring:

  • Extensive experience as a Senior Business Analyst across complex organisations.
  • Must have experience within the education sector (vocational and/or higher education) and strong skills in business process design and modelling.
  • Strong competency across the full Business Analysis domain and familiarity with BABOK-aligned techniques.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to build open, authentic relationships and influence across all levels.
  • Proven ability to translate complex ideas into clear, actionable requirements for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical, conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills, with a focus on practical outcomes and customer service.
  • High levels of initiative, judgement, organisation and time management, and the ability to work effectively to tight timeframes.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Information Technology, Business or a related field, plus industry-recognised Business Analysis certification or equivalent experience.
