About the Role

Reporting directly to the Board Secretary, the Governance & Board Administrator will provide administrative and coordination support across the Board and its Committees. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator, Executive Assistant or Board support professional looking to further develop their career within governance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Coordinating Board and Committee meetings, including scheduling, logistics and meeting preparation
  • Preparing agendas, taking minutes and tracking actions
  • Assisting with the preparation and distribution of Board papers
  • Maintaining Board calendars, governance registers and documentation
  • Liaising with Board members, executives and key stakeholders
  • Supporting governance reporting, compliance activities and continuous improvement initiatives

This role offers hybrid working arrangements; however, Board and Committee meetings are held across a number of hospital locations. As such, occasional travel to metropolitan and regional sites will be required during business hours, with approved travel expenses reimbursed.


About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Previous experience in administration, executive support or Board administration
  • Strong minute-taking and written communication skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • A proactive approach with the ability to use initiative and work independently
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
  • A professional and discreet approach when handling confidential information
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and a collaborative working style
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • A current driver's licence and willingness to travel occasionally between metropolitan and regional hospital sites as required
