About the Role
Reporting to the Board Secretary, the Governance & Board Administrator will provide administrative and coordination support to ensure the smooth operation of the Board and its Committees.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator, team coordinator or executive support professional looking to build a career in governance. Working closely with the Board Secretary, you will gain valuable exposure to Board operations, governance processes and senior stakeholder engagement within a large and complex organisation.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating Board and Committee meetings, including scheduling, logistics and meeting preparation
- Assisting with agenda preparation, minute taking and action tracking
- Maintaining Board calendars, registers, records and governance documentation
- Supporting the preparation, review and distribution of Board papers
- Assisting with Board member onboarding and governance activities
- Coordinating stakeholder communications and responding to enquiries
- Providing day-to-day administrative support to the Board Secretary and Board members
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of governance systems and processes
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Experience in an administration, team coordination, executive support or governance support role
- Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
- Strong written communication skills and confidence preparing professional documentation
- The ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- A professional and discreet approach when handling confidential information
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to build effective working relationships
- Sound problem-solving skills and a proactive approach
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills
- Experience supporting Boards, Committees or governance activities will be highly regarded
- Exposure to Board management platforms such as Diligent will be advantageous
