The Opportunity

This is an initial 3-month contract opportunity within the financial services sector, with a high likelihood of extension. Joining the client’s Sydney-based team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity, efficiency, and effectiveness of IT asset and configuration management. This role offers the chance to make a tangible impact by shaping SACM processes, driving data accuracy, and collaborating across multiple business units.

Must be able to attend the Sydney CBD office 2-3 days per week. Unfortunately sponsorship is not available for this position.


The Role

As a SACM Specialist you will be responsible for managing IT assets across their entire lifecycle, ensuring accurate data and alignment with organisational goals.

Your other responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive SACM strategy in line with ITIL best practices.
  • Maintaining and improving IT asset and configuration databases to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
  • Collaborating closely with procurement, finance, infrastructure, and application teams.
  • Communicating SACM processes, value, and outcomes effectively to stakeholders.
  • Identifying and driving continuous improvement initiatives within SACM processes.
  • Managing risk, compliance, and cost-efficiency considerations in asset and configuration management.



About You

In order to be a successful applicant you will bring proven experience in IT asset and configuration management within large, complex environments.

You will also have:

  • Strong knowledge of ITIL frameworks and service management best practices.
  • Hands-on experience managing IT assets (hardware, software, cloud, and infrastructure).
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills for cross-functional engagement.
  • Strong analytical ability to review data and identify areas for improvement.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and issue resolution.
  • Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries will be advantageous.
