You will work closely with stakeholders to provide practical procurement advice, manage competing priorities and help deliver compliant procurement outcomes.
Davidson Executive & Talent is partnering with a Federal Government agency to recruit an experienced Senior Procurement Officer for this Sydney-based opportunity.
What you’ll be doing
Reporting to an EL1 Procurement Business Partner, you will:
- manage procurement and contract management activities
- provide practical procurement advice to internal stakeholders
- support procurement activities in line with the Commonwealth Procurement Rules
- review and quality assure RFx and tender documentation
- review Statements of Requirements, contracts, work orders and Tender Evaluation Plans
- work with stakeholders to understand their requirements and progress procurement activities
- support procurement reporting, administration and continuous improvement
- manage multiple priorities and deadlines with a high degree of autonomy.
What you’ll bring
You will have demonstrated procurement and contract management experience, ideally within the Commonwealth Government or another public sector environment.
You will also bring:
- experience supporting RFx and tender processes
- knowledge of Commonwealth or public sector procurement practices
- strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- the ability to negotiate, influence and provide clear procurement advice
- strong attention to detail and quality assurance skills
- the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
Experience in IT or digital procurement, BuyICT panels, SAP, Excel or Power BI will be highly regarded.

- Rate:$70–$75 per hour + super
- Level: APS6 equivalent
- Hours: 37.5 hours per week
- Contract: Through to October 2027
- Working arrangements: Flexible working available, subject to agreement
- Security clearance: Baseline security clearance required
