We are working with a state government client who is seeking an experienced Social Outcomes & Local Benefits Coordinator. The role will be based initially in Fortitude Valley and then in Beenleigh hub.
About the Role
The team is seeking a dynamic professional with diverse experience across Economic Development, Stakeholder Engagement and/or Social Procurement
to represent the Department.
As an embedded resource working on the LGC Rail Package, you will contribute to the delivery of a range of contracted Social Outcomes and Local Benefits (SOLB) covering employment, training and procurement.
Reporting to the ActivUs Alliance’s Social Benefits lead, you will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where your passion for creating impact, your adaptability and an outcome focused
approach will be invaluable in this multi-faceted role.
· You will be key in working with partners to plan and deliver a program of workshops, industry engagement activities and community facing initiatives predominantly based at the LGC Activation Hub in Beenleigh.
· You will be responsible for coordinating and facilitating industry working groups governed by terms of reference and focused on contributing to set objectives.
· You will work directly with the Alliance’s subcontractors on a regular basis to monitor and support the delivery of their social outcomes and local benefits requirements.
· Assist with the identification of procurement opportunities for local businesses, first nations businesses and social enterprises. Work with the procurement team to invite businesses to tender and assist with the evaluation process of submissions.
· There is a strong emphasis on delivering a legacy within the Logan community through partnerships with key social outcomes organisations. You will work closely with these businesses and organisations to provide pathways to employment, training and deliver capability uplift.
· You will manage record keeping of performance on various online platforms and produce regular reporting for Alliance members, government departments and external stakeholders.
About you
· You will require strong communications, coordination and project management skills to deliver on the range of key accountabilities.
· You will have experience across Economic Development, Stakeholder Engagement and/or Social Procurement.
· Understanding of the Queensland Procurement Policy, Queensland Charter for Local Content, Queensland Building and Construction Training Policy and Queensland Indigenous Procurement Policy.
· Degree in business, social science, communications or similar field, or at least five years’ experience in a similar role.
· Proven ability to develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders, fostering cooperation, coordination, and communication to support project objectives.
· Experience working with diverse and disadvantaged communities.
· Experience and expertise in planning and delivering events and projects on time and on budget.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively plan, implement, and report on project requirements using Microsoft and SharePoint suite of tools.
· Demonstrated experience managing the use of online procurement, customer relationship management and performance monitoring platforms.
· Previous experience working in high performing teams to deliver major transport or infrastructure projects.
The Benefits
· $86.18 per hour + Super (PAYG Agency Contractor)
· Contract up to November 2026
· Fortitude Valley & Beenleigh locations (must be able to travel to both)
· Monday to Friday, Full time hours
